Data transmission and reception LED indicators on the adapter provide real-time monitoring of port activity. The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers automatically install to Windows 7 and newer versions, macOS 10.15 and above, and Linux. The USB to RS-232 adapter features COM retention, which automatically reassigns the COM port value if the cable is disconnected and reconnected, or if the system is rebooted.
